Thread regarding Mattel Inc. layoffs

How long before they announce another 2,200?

It looks like instead of trying to find a better business strategy that would help us turn the company around, those on top are now relying strictly on layoffs to placate shareholders and investors.

And since without some major changes in the way we do business we'll see no improvements in the bottom line, I guess we'll be seeing major layoffs on regular bases from now until there is nobody left to lay off.

Suffice to say, there is no future at Mattel, at least not with this management.

Massive layoffs will start at MOA from August to September. When dust is settled, we will have 25% less working globally

This round was massive and made headlines throughout the world. I’d expect around Q3, smaller and more targeted layoffs may occur (director and above), as restructuring take hold. If Q4 and early Q1 of next year don’t show finances turning around, expect bigger changes. That is, if the company hasn’t already been sold.
