Thread regarding Sears layoffs

I was let go yesterday (HE)

I will post more later but right now I want to confirm that after inventory is done, Sears as we know it is finished. I really don't understand how anyone could not see for themselves what is going on but I guess there are a lot of people still in denial. Also, I know FOR A FACT that the company is paying someone to post here trying to do damage control. I don't understand it all myself but I do know it is basically over.

The good news from SHI is the CIO is in India discussing the transformation of Sears. Plan is to concentrate on the small store format, and grow the Home Services and In novel business. For the rest its goodbye.

I can't imagine anyone would be foolish enough at this point to extend any loans or credit of any form to SHLD. Only thing that could extend the life of SHLD would be sale of assets. A few quick closing real estate deals or selling Kenmore, etc would buy the company a LITTLE time.

Has SHC also exhausted all available lines of credit? If not, it can continue to limp along even with cash reserves dwindling.

If they are going to dissolve what's left they are running out of time. It takes some time to execute a dissolution of a company....SHLD only has roughly enough cash on hand to operate for a few more weeks so I don't think they have the time to dissolve everything in an orderly fashion. Most likely in August a complete liquidation of the rest of the company will be announced.

It's time to face the music folks.....It doesn't matter if my store, or your store, or someone else's store is still profitable. If a store is making money then the profits from that store are basically going to corporate and they are throwing it in the furnace and burning it up to pay the daily debt of simply opening the rest of the stores in the company that are losing money.

The train-wreck that is SHLD will end up pulling your rail-car off the tracks with the rest of the rail-cars even if your rail-car is "profitable". You people who think that your store will stay open as long you're profitable need to wake up and smell the coffee. At some point (in the very near future) your store will close because SHLD as a whole can no longer keep going with no money.

OP - By Sears being finished, do you mean bankruptcy or is Eddie and the BODs filing to dissolve the company?

Drain the swamp only applies to executives such as Eddie and his cronies.......Hard working loyal store level associates are not part of this swamp.

If they are paying someone to put a happy face on this company they sure are getting short changed.

Damage control would be to make sure your employees are happy. Having a workforce who hates their jobs, has benefits and hours cut, all while expecting more work with fewer people is not a way to run a successful business. Add to that how vendors are bailing and SHCs blaming vendor issues or factory issues on the vendor instead of the non-payment of bills by SHC, just adds another layer of disgruntled people to the list. Not to mention the customers, members who have abandoned SHC.

Now try to damage control that!!

LOL!

Paying someone to post on an anonymous internet board to do damage control.....Do they get paid by the hour or by the word?. SHC also pays someone to administer its social media account(s), twitter, FB, instagram, etc.... Just what is this budding journalist trying to protect?
