FTE's received an email from Office of CIO.
Confirmed that IT will be outsourced. Timeline of next update is December 2018.
Retention letters being sent to some.

This IT outsourcing has some merit. New CIO has worked here before. Yes, new CIO. Already in outlook.

Ppl forget the past very soon and get carried away. Chris Columbus found this land in his attempt to reach India, the then great land of wealth and spices. Don't like to work with Indians or asians then you might have to go to MARS (if you have enough money) as out of 7 billion world population close to 4+ billions are asians!! So, among every 10 ppl you work with there will be atleast 5 asians and atleast 2~3 Indians!

You will know when your manager “calls you” to tell you- your done. Until then- watch your back and of course watch the external job boards....your gonna need it! Oh, remember to stop by one of the restrooms on the way out- and leave them a little treat!!!
I wish every person who is laid off would share their title, department, location and date they were let go plus the conditions of their lay off (i.e. if they got severance, etc). Everyone who is still here is really worried about if what we are told is true. My leadership keeps telling me we are "safe". I come here and read things like no one is safe and no one is getting severance. I even heard my department is being considered to be outsourced but my leadership hasn't said anything at all.
Just send all of it to India.
