Layoffs are good for health of a company but like as with anything else, it is grossly misused and taken advantage of by targeting selectively as being biased.
India and Guadalajara growth is good cost cutting measure, the more the merrier.

With several VP and C level executives added in the last 6 months there isn't any other way to cover their bonuses. It had to happen.
Fortunatley with the move to a developer lease model and the fail fast mentailty, F5 wont have to worry about product quality anymore which has been holding them back for years.
There won't be any need for experienced PD in this model which will save enormous amounts of money.
