We lost so many good people in the past several days, many friends among them.
The office atmosphere is now changed for good. Morale is down, there is so much empty space, barely any chatter...
I didn't think workplace environment at Mattel could get worse, but I was wrong.
I'm starting to wish I was among those laid off.
JS?....so he’s addicted to Amazon. Who isn’t? Another reason we’re doing bad, though, with the demise of TRU.
Right now JS is hiding under his desk in his office in EA hoping that no one notices that he’s still there. He wants to lay low and ride this gravy train all the way to retirement. All the while doing nothing but online shopping and taking credit for everyone else’s work.
It's going to be a tough day for all of you. You will go through all kinds of emotions for the next few months- sad, bitter, feeling lucky but prob ashamed for that, and most likely scared. We were told in April we are done at the end of January. Most of us have spent half our lives working for the sub brand, AG. It will get easier, just try to work hard and try to stay positive. We all were obviously upset, but there is still laughter in our office. We are enjoying our time together and trying hard not to focus on the negative that will only make you feel worse. I am so sorry for all that lost their jobs, but remember, there is life after Mattel. Take care!
