Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Asset Protection

How's this for AP? Requested multiple times to have locking shelf cabinets sent to store for Crest Whitestrips......here comes an ORC and wipes out entire stock. Cost of cabinet? $300. Cost of lost product? $1,000+. Thanks for protecting our assets, Asset Protection.

Does anyone ever get in trouble for using cvs store coupons on items they’re not supposed to be used on?

The hallmark 2.00 off coupon that comes out again and again scans and works on anything in the store

It even Comes up on the screen as a cvs coupon, looks like an extrabuck.

How does that translate for the store as far as loss

As a leader do your part. AP can’t be in every store making sure the manager has brains and do what they can to control losses. Stop being cry babies. This is a layoff site not a b!tch site about stuff you can control but chose not too.

Let not your hearts be troubled. The DAPL role is going away soon. The plan is to have on RAPM per region to do investigations and higher level partnering with the Region Directors. The DL's will handle investigations, fact gathering and auditing function. They will confer with the RAPM and the RAPM will do phone interviewing if needed.

RAPM will visit high shrink and less profitable stores with the RD and DL on a quarterly basis.

THAT's THE FACTS JACKS. Get your arses ready for less support. LAUGH OUT LOUD!

Dont you have Alpha boxes for white strips? I keep 2 of each out and they are replenished as they sell. Same with Plan B.

You are an id--t for giving back money cards.

DAPL tells anyone who asks to destroy the money

card. I have zero problems with couponers trying to exchange “coupons for cash” because I follow CVS policies on coupons and returns. White strips are an issue, numerous skus with MPs of 2 or 3 keeps the inventory value on the shelf very high. In the end, you have to keep the product on the shelf and continue to report ORC activity in order to qualify for additional theft protection devices.

ORC is a common term in real retail, not the bastardized version of retail CVS tries to operate in

How about you stop protecting a company that doesn't care about you.

Forget the policy or what you think the policy is. If you want to keep your job, then don't give customers a hard time.

Our 3rd party return system is flawed.

Give the customer any coupons used back on a money card. Easy to do and will cause you no issues.

Seriously, stop trying to police for CVS. You know they wouldn't do the same for you.

I am not saying it is an easy exchange with any couponer, but it is our policy you douche

Lets see you try to keep a money card and "buy it back" from an extreme coupon customer that knows our system. You'll go the way of our dearly departed Morry Matson. Dumb post.

Coupons are not refundable or transferable per our policy. Your customers should not be getting those money cards, instead you should be buying them back to the store. If your DAPL knows anything at all, ask them and this will be their direction

ORC = Organized Retail Crime? Took a few google searches. Half want to thank you for teaching me a new akronim, and half want to remind you the abbreviation wasn’t clear enough. Speaking of ripping off CVS have any other cashiers noticed that certain people buy pricey items with coupons to return them and get the coupon put on a gift card and usually walk away with about 30 bucks. I try price modifying returns down for people I know are doing this, nothing seems to work. Here’s one for ya LP. Like a real thing we can work on.

Smart....restock with the time we would be unlocking case. What if I told you AP forced an install of case on electronic toothbrushes that didn't have an issue with shrink and no real sales and when I asked why I couldn't install on strips I was told "just do what I say". And when I was attempting to limit Strips on shelf by keeping them behind checkout under counter for replinshment and quick pick I was told "if its in the store its on the shelf".

You could replenish with the same time that you would be using to go back and forth to unlock for customers...

In a high volume store with virtually minimum hours to operate on, Whitestrips selling at a clip of 10 to 12 boxes a week, impossible to not keep shelf stocked with "maximum stock" to prove I am correct. We have 10 skus of Whitestrips, and had 2 to 3 pieces of each on shelf. How do you propose I minimize the loss and still keep sales? Shut your mouth and think.

How’s this for not having a clue? A store leader is apparently aware that they are having an external issue with white strips. AP is subject to the same CVS BS about expenses and can’t get a locking fixture. In the absence of what they both need, the leader keeps the shelf packed with product to make sure when they get hit again it will be for maximum loss. Congratulations on making sure you were “right” rather than controlling the issue.
