Have there been any changes to severance or is it the same as before?
I'm worried they'll try to save even more by offering less to laid off workers. Certainly wouldn't put it past them.

I was laid off yesterday. The same standard severance calculation that Mattel has been using forever was offered to me.
This is one of my biggest concerns.
I don't think anyone in NYC has signed anything or has anything binding yet except those poor fools who are uprooting their lives and going out to ES.
I'm terrified that it is going to come time to shutter the office and during out exit interviews we are all offered a fraction of what the original estimated package was, if anything at all.
if you got hit this week just be glad you got something. When they do another round of cuts this Fall folks will be lucky to see anything. From this point on, the longer you last, the more screwed you will be if you get laid off.

Yes it has, at least in our location. The offer is less than previous rounds but still meet labour law

If you lay off above a certain percentage of workforce at once you have to give notice.
Aren’t there laws about severance in states? Like if you layoff x number of employees you have to pay them y?
ea didn’t deserve a severance for being such fools to think they were safe. they deserved to be shown the door with nothing else.
That's not true. There was severance in EA. It was based on how many years you worked and how much your salary was.
