Yessir, told me the same thing. I told them i wanted out and some chick in HR my SRO never heard of said the same thing. So sorry, but due to business needs we can't let you go. BUT they let two other guys in my dept go. Nice.

Agree. If they were smart (and we know they arent) they would offer a package to everyone and they would get more volunteers than they need. It would serve two purposes. Reduce numbers and get rid of the people who hate the place and want out. Replace them with corporate yes men/women. Win-win sitiation.
Be nice if they would allow employees from all departments union or not to volunteer for a layoff and get full severance package. Pretty sure they would get a ton of volunteers.
