Thread regarding Pearson PLC layoffs

Exodus of experienced employees

Pearson will not need layoffs anymore very soon from what I've been seeing lately. All the seasoned employees with most knowledge and experience are leaving in droves on their own.

I'm not sure many will be left soon, and then what? Does the company really think it can operate successfully with a bunch of low-paid peons who have no idea how to do their jobs?

If things continue as they are, I guess they'll find out...

It is shocking to see who is left standing. Successful reps and managers who made money last year and overtime were suddenly pushed aside. People who really did well, well respected, been here for years, and wanted to stay. They're pushing us all out. All managers left standing no they have to walk on eggshells. Say what you want them to hear.

I think we saw this coming a mile away. Within days and weeks of "the layoff", those that remained experienced more uncertainty, setbacks, and aimless initiatives than they had prior. It was like, "whew, I have my job still, but now what?" Sincerely, wishing everyone the best.
