Dimming Lights

We lost so many customers because our store was too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. Dimming the lights didn't help either. We used to joke that the lights were dimmed so customers couldn't see how dingy the store looked, and that the one-touch plan to push all stockroom merchandise to the floor was so that they could turn off all the lights in receiving. You felt like you were working in a cave.

I don't blame the QMTs as they were only doing their job, but man, those energy cuts really, really hurt our business.

You work for a store manager that's told the extra $10k a month spent on a/c would come back five fold , but he wasn't buying it? That's because all the "talent" in the company only knew limited ways to increase net profit.

Cut payroll and cut utility usage. Oh, and sell the crap out of MA/PAs .

Our back room is very dark. So dark that an elderly worker could not see and fell and broke her arm.. From what I hear there is a lawsuit and that OSHA is getting involved. If the lights are too dim call OSHA.
