It looks like the much announced huge layoff round was just another false alarm.
Now false alarms I understand, there will always be rumors born out of speculation and trolls having some fun at our expense.
What I have trouble believing is how easy it is for most of us to accept them as true. We are so accustomed to this being a part of working at Windstream that we rarely even question announcements like that.
Isn't that really sad?
Right - we know layoffs are coming. The point of this board is WHEN and IF they are coming. Answering one doesn't answer the other. Don't be so arrogant just because you have a better idea due to your position. But, the point of NDA is very real. Anyone with knowledge of the layoffs will have signed one - with the exception of late learners needed to execute it.. they'll find out just before.
But slips happen and thats when the rumors get out.
People were saying 30% for sure this week... "just watch!". Well - thanks for all the drama to those people.
I still believe there will be layoffs before the earnings call. When is the last quarter this didn't happen?
I guess you haven't looked at the stock price this week. We have lost 25% of the companies value.
With all due respect..there have been layoffs pretty much every month since summer of 2016. Almost every month. So whether it was this week..the week prior or last month. They do...and will continue to happen. Not an opinion but an unfortunate fact. Instead of b--ching abt the accuracy of when...just be ready. If you have been paying any attn at all you would know this to be true. This site also proves that to be true from the monthly posts of those let go. Its all here.
My manager has done just that, numerous times, my contacts in IT have as well, and i have been asked to work on RIF projects (after signing an NDAs so don’t ask which ones 😊) so I guess what I’m trying to say is, um, you couldn’t be more wrong

I have no idea where some of these “Well Informed” people get their information. The management at Windstream may be lacking but I don’t believe any manager worth their weight in sand would dare to advise their people there is a layoff coming.
So what you are saying is that there will not be any layoffs, this based on company history, current financials, analyst predictions, and honest to god first hand gut experience working there.
