The events that are unfolding at SHC right now should be of no surprise to anybody. If you have been following the state of things here at SHC since 2012, which is when the eventual demise became more evident, none of what's happening or none of what has happened should be of any surprise. The ONLY people who should work for SHC at this point are high school students, college students, wives looking to supplement their husband's income, retirees looking to supplement their retirement, pension or social security (I'm in this category) or young people fresh out of school looking to get some experience for a better job. At this point, absolutely NO ONE should be relying a job with SHC to provide for their families, put a roof over their head or food on the table.
Absolutely NO ONE should take a job or continue to hold a job with SHC if they do not have something to fall back on or if they "need" a job. EVERYONE who works for SHC should be prepared for the eventual demise of their unit, whether that be a store, a warehouse or a corporate office, and should already have a contingency plan in place. It's a good idea to always have a contingency plan in place regardless of the company you are employed by, and that contingency plan could be as something as simple as keeping your resume updated and staying active within your network.
