Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

Entitlement

Why do some of you have such a large sense of entitlement? If you work in an employment-at-will state, you aren't owed pretty much anything by your employer.

Get over yourself, entitled ones.

The gig is almost over so get up and get another job instead of whining about severance or the lack thereof. Jobs are plentiful so put on your happy face and go find another one.

To the id--t above telling people that we are not entitled to our company. You are right! However, when you cut your own family out like you have over the years with massive layoffs, you find yourself with people not giving 2 f---s about your problems or your company. You see, your cancer started years ago when this process started with the layoffs. Then if you noticed...major outages because no one knew anything about legacy companies. Then customers syarted leaving, now your share holders are leaving.

So before you mouth off about how we are not entitled to our employment, remember why you are near bankruptcy with that attitude towards gifted people! Basically, you won't be entitled to own anything either.

So good luck with spreading more cancer to your next low in our stock price with more layoffs....ydp that should fix it.

Go F yourself. Why do you feel entitled to share you opinion? This is just as dumb as all those morons replying to not reply.

If a person has a skill set which is completely geared toward what they are doing now but, have no other companies in their commuting area where those skills are needed, you need to be re-trained. Re-training while already in your career is a huge burden - especially when you have a family and are strapped as is because of the low sh--ty pay and medical benefits. Being laid-off gives a person state funded money to deal with this very situation. Not because your lazy - but, because not everyone gets to be rich and successful.

You are the quintessential KoolAid Corporate man.

Dont be a douche bag, it was a simple, honest question. Probably the exact same one you asked when you got caught up in one of the layoffs. There is no sense of entitlement, people just trying figure out their game plan, and what the immediate future holds financially.

Some people actually want a career and not just a job. There was a time not too long ago where you worked for the same company for your whole career.

Me? I've been laid off before. I know that I'm nothing but a number to the corporation. That's why you won't see me push myself or hard working every night and weekend for a faceless corporation that could give two sh--s about me.
