Thread regarding Southwestern Energy Co. layoffs

Sad

Wow, this is beyond sad. Just one look at this board and it is obvious there are very few happy and satisfied employees at Southwestern.

Shouldn't that be a clue to those on top that something needs to change and it needs to change now?

If they only cared about anything besides their own wallet...

Lol! Way give up the company plane? If you think stories of the Christmas party shenanigans are entertaining, just imagine what has gone on in those planes!

Has the non-G&A cost reduction begun to kick-in? Last I heard, the soft drinks, cafeteria, onsite doctor, and exercise facilities were probably going to be cut. Is Way willing to give-up his SWN private planes?

Attitude reflects leadership. The board needs to clean house.

I'm a former SWNer and I left because the company had done a 360 in the past 2 years. I started my career there and learned tons, but the job stability was gone. I was afraid to move on, but it's the best thing I've done for my career, but I gotta say, thanks SWN for giving me the opportunity to learn and being my stepping stone for a better opportunity. There are no excuses for staying.

I do understand realities of needing a job , work and also that the physical environment at swn is nice .

But no one is actually forced to work at swn , I don’t fault anyone who does .. but I have heard 15-20 people in Houston have left swn since the layoffs .. think about that , it’s stunning
