Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

F11x will shut down in Q1 2018

Looks like this fab is finally going to close down. No buyouts and no employee assistance will be given. Contracts for site demo have been written up.

We in Oregon are cheering this news. F11x has been a major drag on Intel for too many years. It's a place where the worst engineers and useless technicians are sent.

glad HR is on the case here with their posts, but the bigger issue is, with all the silent layoffs - such as Saffron - there is no trust - circuit isnt talking about anything other than vapid bs, so any rumor of firings since ACT is reasonable, that is the new Intel way - fire while hire - executives trying to excite employees on a journey where we get thrown off the boat monthly,.. inspires the loyalty and commitment of a green badge.... HR will hire an army of program managers to study the issue of trust even as loyal employees are treated as disposable trash___after 18 years, I hate the place, 6 months to go to reach financial goal...

Wrong again. F11x is expanding and will be hiring again.

"Intel Corp. in Rio Rancho is hiring again, following the company’s decision to transfer development of a new storage and memory technology to its New Mexico plant."

F11x was good up to early 2016 - fantastic place - but then all the good people left and they decided to hire, as Helen Reddy would say 'women, hear me roar' types in management. Worked about as good as Hillary. So much potential wasted - still NM is a pretty d---beat place but there are tonnes of other jobs out there. If the place is making you ill, time to find somewhere else.

There is a hiring freeze. The devices that were delivered to Lenovo and NUC are failing. So were's the funding? Not fake news.
