I am In R&D pune. Can some one tell me how many years we need to stay at 20-20 level before we are promoted to 30 level.?
How many years we need to stay at Software Engineer III to go to next level Software Engineer IV?
Minimum pay of Software Engineer IV?
I am asking these just because I wanted to ensure I am not getting fooled by my manager and to understand the promotion trend at Avaya in general.

"Promote me" - No response.
"Malaa Pahije" - Immediately promoted.
Deliver results? I had seen someone delivering results but his manager delivered a big BS on him! So well and someone gets promoted like a clock work because more than results they are yes boss types. And that's everywhere not Avaya specifically. That's corporate dear friends. Anyways.. u need promotion go get a change.
What is minimum salary of 30 level? Where does the 30 level salary band starts?
@UYsajuh-2trz so u r saying all those who are promoted delivered results or now they are role model as managers? I know 1-2 cases but not all.
Treten to leave and get promoted the next day.....
Working for promotion?? Might take several years.. deliver results n get promotion in one year
Level 20 has three layers before Level 30.
Level 20-III, IV, SSE then Level 30.
Each layer at 20 will usually take 3-4 years.
So logically if you join at level 20 III and excell throughout. It may take 8-12 years to reach to level 30. This is hypothetic analogy as there are so many things beyond just number of years. Hope this is helpful in some manner.
I saw some people at 20 level for more than 5 years, when u get promoted? when u reach salary band and now only option remains is promotion and second u r very good at buttering.
That's why mgr is so powerful in Avaya
At Avaya promotion completely depends upon buttering and polishing skills. And most important thing is to keep satisfying the needs of your manager.
I have never heard of a specific time frame and additionally, some people never get promoted.
