What GF are you working at? This place is Land of the Living Dead. People OPENLY talking about the next Job Fair coming to Malta/Saratoga Springs. The job fairs have more current employees than those laid off attending them. Hell, even seen managers at these events. I guess you must work in the cafeteria or janitorial services where there are a lot less dishes to wash or toilets to clean with the "pivoting". When I told people I was leaving this week, nobody except upper management told me that I should stay. Multiple folks congratulating and wanting to make sure I "keep in touch" in case I can help with their exit strategy. WTFU - going to 1600 is only going to burden the already overworked workforce with 50% more work and there will still be the same number of managers - the McKinsey Way.
Here's a good analogy for McKinsey - They go to Foxboro and look at the Patriots and convince Bob Kraft and Bill Belichick that the team doesn't need 53 players on the roster, too expensive. Hell, they only need 22 - 11-offense and 11-defense. Might as well outsource the Kicker and Punter since you don't need them very often (heck, borrow them from the other team). BUT - the team MUST have a head coach, asst head coach, off coordinator, def coordinator, special teams coach, off line coach, off backfield coach, QB coach, def backfield coach, etc. That's what's happening at GF - more positive - indeed!
