Cutting IT Project Managers and Engineering Architects so these jobs can be off-shored or replaced with Cheaper H1B visa holders. Another blow to US STEM workers.

What is VSIP
Yes, they have outsourced our overtime to india last year. When you report it to the union, the mangers denied that they outsourced part of our work to them. So our overtime went away just to make room for these Indians.
What state? What department? I was laid off on Aug 30th as well, trying to get a petition together for a trade act certification. They are clearly backfilling these US based jobs with “OGS” positions. https://www.doleta.gov/tradeact/
This will at least help those of us who are affected get some training and re-enter the job force.
I'm an exciting TDPer here and I hope they hire more of us Millennials to prove we add values to the IT department!
I was 61 when I got RIFfed in Nov 2017. I did not get a VSIP offer, but because of my age, I would have taken VSIP in a heartbeat if offered.
I took VSIP and so glad I did because could see this coming. Got a large chunk of dough and still have most of it. But it was easier for me to decide. I am 64.
15+ years and high reviews. I am 57 and notified my position was being eliminated. I should have taken the VSIP.
That’s why I voted for Trump!!!
