I bet on it happening in Sep, rather than Oct. Any guesses anyone?

Wow. So they created a forum for employees to vent their frustrations. Brilliant strategy to find out what you guys know or dont. It's all about money guys. Just #s to them, not people with families to feed and Bill's to pay.
The way it happened last time in 2016 is that people were asked to leave on the spot, with the minimum personal belongings and They were escorted to the door. Some bouncers and paramedics were even hired for emergency.
The redundancy discussions took place a week later.
So if meeting rooms are blocked on the 8th of October that means the action will take place before that and it should be very quick (1 or 2 days) depending on the number per location.
Most of this will be out of your hands, so what will be, will be. I went through so many of these, I eventually switched off otherwise, it can take over your life. I eventually left in the Dec 2016 lay offs.
If I can give a single piece of comfort, a significant number I knew that were caught up in the cuts at that time, went on to better things. Despite many negative comments on this site, TR/Reuters still looks very good on CV's.
True, there are many rooms in NY booked for large blocks of time beginning on Oct 8th and lasting through late October.....these could be booked for redundancy meetings but they could also be booked for retention / new HR policy discussions as well. Trying to stay positive...
There aren't any conference rooms booked in London currently.
Maybe they cancelled them because it was causing so much speculation!!
Wrong about the conference rooms in NY Jean Kamerschen , Head of HR, has rooms booked throughout the week at 3XSQ.........
Those meeting room bookings have disappeared......
ALL the conference rooms? If thats true, its gonna be a baaaad day on the titanic
By the way, is that burger scarfing fool rick king still screwing the place up?
You can figure it out room reservation details on Outlook , just like how you'd check the availability of someone for a meeting. Used to be much easier in the Resource Scheduler days. Good luck
"HR has reserved all the conference rooms in 3XSQ and London starting October 8. "
How do you know that if you don't mind me asking?
All F&R guys will be have a hard time, in Hong Kong, R doing better than F, so seems like we see more laid off on F rather R side.
Yup, any one under the F&R arm is going the way of the dodo!
Has been confirmed, half sales team in Asia scaled down, office in Southeast Asia will close, all customer support will be based in malaysia or Shenzhen. HK, Tokyo, Singapore office will move to other venues.
HR has reserved all the conference rooms in 3XSQ and London starting October 8. Doubtful it's for good things, but it could be. Each employee might actually be given a new offer letter/package for the new company.
As i've heard. there have been office already being closed. Boston office was one of the casualties
Is this company wide?
While there might be some local firings going on now, I think the real stuff comes early October after the split, as these need to be done without TR being legally responsible (so if an ex-employee sues, they wouldn't sue TR, but the new company)
Already starts, Hong Kong office sanjeeve already been gone, Alfred lee come and take over the regime, let see who is left in this game
Yes. It starts next week
