IS there anything more annoying than the Pearson employee Facebook group??? I do not care about how much BTS BS you are doing, what bookstores you’re working, what faculty you’re training, FDOCs, how many people you’re supposedly signing up for mylabs, what cookies you had made, etc. who even has the time to post during this time of year?? And I certianly do not care about inspirational posts! it’s the same few people posting everyday. We are all out there doing the same things. Just stop. Please.

Haha! The Pearson posers! Look at me loving my job! Why in H*ll is FB even a part of a professional job! Oh that’s right, it’s not a professional job!
I’m also a manager. On the note of Facebook I’ve had to tell reps to not post pictures when they are on vacation if it’s august-may because “upper mgmt is watching”. Another reason sr management is pathetic at Pearson.
As a manager, I am constantly pressured to have my team post things on facebook to ensure senior management sees that reps are still working and have not 'thrown in the towel.' I have literally been told to run contests with my team around posting things on Facebook. It's all a huge smoke screen - and yes -- we have all thrown in the towel.

SO many look at me's!!!! I unfollowed the group today. I can't take one more look at me, I'm going above and beyond cheerleader diva. It's literally the same couple of people posting everyday.
I disagree with the person who says you are under 40 if you're on FB. The younger gen/millenials aren't on FB- do you not keep up with the news?? It's all the people older than 40 that are ANNOYING. I deleted it completely, I cannot deal with that site anymore. And like one person said- why are people posting to that site throughout the day anyway! I've got a JOB to do, and social media posting isn't apart of my job description.

Couple of thoughts:
If you’re NOT annoyed with Facebook, you’re likely younger, say under 35-40yrs old.
If you ARE annoyed with Facebook, you’re likely over 35-40 and almost gurantee to annoy many of your followers with your lack of Facebook etiquette (sharing political & religious falsities, etc.). You should likely grow up and sign off of Facebook for good.

I wish it was the younger group posting the most. Unfortunately it's mostly the middle age reps that are posting the most. Gotta get their job security showing they are actually on campus a few days a year I guess.
And trust me, you don't want to join it. It will make you question this company even more.
Which group is it? The only one I am in is a Pearson Fitness challenge page but last update was 2014 by former Global Operational Social Communications Engagement Strategic Director of Higher Education.
This is more of a generational thing--the folks posting would post something if they were working at a Pearson or a 7-11. It's the look at what I am doing generation vs doing my job generation.
I would unfollow the group if I was you and then you don’t have to see it or even comment it about it. Out of sight out of mind!!!!
I’ve heard that there will certainly be more rep layoffs.
Give it a few minutes, Pearson will be laying off more employees before you know it.
I agree with you, but it sure seems like this message board has drifted away from commenting about layoffs at Pearson.
