Nothing hitting KC SS as of yet still watching waiting to see any possible tip of ones hand that something is going down let’s get it on and done already
Sounds to me your IP is blocked from posting. Site admins do that if you violate one of their rules, they nuke your posts and block you. Can check their rules in the footer, but posting names (and other personal info) and using foul language are the main things that can get you in that kind of trouble.
Dudes! Was it determined that KS was where the tons of firings were taking place yesterday?
@iyj ....this is @qwk here. I am not a current AIG employee, so no AIG network block issues here. I was an AIG employee who got RIF’d, but with many ties still inside many of the domestic US offices. I post any scoop I get. I have had issues posting from my laptop and cell. I hit submit and it just goes away, no “click to reload page” option. The post just goes into the ether of the internet somewhere. Tech glitch? Dunno.
I saw the demographic. Yes they threw in a 20 something here and there. Lots of 40's and 50's. Some much older. Looked like they took out a ton of distribution jobs.
Yo dude or dudess, I get it, like everyone you're frustrated and scared (I'm guessing you haven't been RIFed yet) but don't vent your anger on the website. The whole company doesn't know about this blog to post but I'm sharing with my colleagues to get the word out. BTW, I was RIFed a while ago.
Thanks for the update. Other people have told me that they have submitted postings but they do not appear.
AIG is very careful about staying under the number of layoffs for which you are legally required to publicly announce that you have had a layoff.
This is why there are so many small and frequent layoffs.
They are also usually very careful to post a demographic in the RIF document that shows people from all age categories being laid off, so that it does not appear to be weighted towards one group.
By the way, can you shed any light on what divisions sections or locations experience the light off from what you are aware of? Thank you very much for your Intel.
What par t of the country and what department were you in?
I submitted my post yesterday but didn't get approved obviously. I didn't say anything inflammatory.
Maybe too many people clogged up the system.
A ton of people including me were laid off yesterday. A lot of older folks. I guess we are out of date or something. They are skirting the reporting laws by staying under the cap. This is really sad. At least I won't have to be around for the final count down. I don't think this ship has far to sail.
1) if you have any info, post it then ...instead of complaining about the lack of information. Apparently you have information about people getting let go, so clue us in please
2) Please advise as many people as you can about the webpage. There are a lot of people that don’t know about this site. It will do us all good if you get more people aware so that they can post information.
