I heard new CIO is coming soon.. this might give some relief to the team and might put some freeze in place. That will be logical thing to do.

If Hank were still here, this company would be in such a great position. At least he knew how to run a company and cared about the worker bees
AIG needed a CIO period as they have not had any semblance of one if over 4 years. The last one had very little exp in technology. Her directs would shield her from being embarrassed by her lack of basic understanding. They would literally setup these little meeting to teach and prep her for even the most basic topics else, she would get very upset "why didn't you tell me" "why is the 1st time I'm hearing this". It was embarrassing and froze everything in it for over a year.
New CIO was at Tyco when they decided to split that company up. AIG needed a CIO with experience in untangling massive conglomerates in preparation for large scale sell offs/splits.

It seems that most of the AIG senior execs get a contract that is approximately 12 to 24 months long. The rotating turn style gives them no incentive to dig their heels in and make things work, it just gives them the cash for short period time before taking another gig.
Case in point: John Repko, new AIG CEO. He had a two-year commitment and Johnson control to leave the company‘s IT function. See link below, first paragraph.

Two years at Johnson Controls, now probably two years at AIG and then on to his next gig. What AIG needs to do is let people take root and get some skin in the game.
Hank used to have golden handcuffs in the old days on guys like to see you and the others at the top, but they had a vested interest to make things work and not start looking for a new job every 12 months
It was overdue. She hadn’t helped anything during her time
Seems not even the cio is safe from being rifed.
