Yea I too feel pity at the poster that he/she wants to come back. Why on the earth do you want to work at Dell or Dell-EMC? Well, Unless you are one among them......... Dell or Dell-EMC is a place for poisonous snakes, Anacondas, Old Monkies and Black Sheep !!!

Most companies that pay any severance do this, or to be more precise, if you got x weeks of severance and came back before x weeks, you owe them the difference. It didn't use to be like that, but it's now the new normal (plus the fact that severance has become less generous over the years)

Yes it was a six month wait for me and then they put in verbage that if you got a job within six months you owed them money back... such great ethics. Dell is only for Dell and MD 's pockets. I got a new job and they were told by the state of California to stick it.

Generally yes but there are often restrictions. Check your paperwork. It will likely say you may be required to return a prorated portion of your package if hired in under a year.
