Watson was nothing but a PR stunt based on unproven R&D. It’s a failure.
IBM has become a joke - they don't build anything anymore - they just buy other peoples products and blue wash them which completely s---s the life out of everyone and everything. They also rebrand their decades old c-ap and shove it down the throat of what few customers they have left.
Spectrum protect? LOL!! More old garbage with a new name.
IBM is in a tough spot because you cant fire a female CEO, so all you can do is watch as she destroys the company - like what happened with yahoo.com

By any metric, this CEO is a failure, but she is Chairman of the Board and sponsored most of the BOD. As a conservative and capitalist, I do not like govt intervention. But in this case, this is collusion and corruption. And she buys off the Sr Execs with stock grants/RSUs. At the expense of the stock holders and employees. What a sham.
Well that’s going to leave a mark!!!! So IBM board. How do you justify a CEO who has spent billions with nothing to show but shrinking from 107 to 79 billion. Oh that’s right. You voted her a raise last year. You may be able to justify it by calling it a parting gift, BUT you forgot to ask her to leave, and you have forgotten to ask her to come up with a winning strategy. Saving your way to prosperity via down sizing has never been a winning strategy for any company that I can recall. Hell of a strategy IBM board, Hell of a strategy!!!!! (drinks all around). BAIN PLEASE extract some value for the shareholders before the current management spends it all on drinks.
