Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Get out and never look back!!

Thankfully I got out a couple of months ago, but I can’t recommend it enough. I fully appreciate leaving doesn’t suit everyone for all sorts of reasons, but if you can do it! For months, if not years I felt like I was fading away, doing the work of four people, with no pay increase, let alone bonus, working 12-15 hour days to keep clients happy as I felt my own integrity was at stake! I’d never felt so frustrated caused by not my bosses, but that f---ing id--t at the top! he doesn’t give a toss who he hurts, who he affects. This piece of sh-- would stamp on your children if it meant inflating his wallet! Most of your wouldn’t stand for it if someone mugged you for a few quid in the street. This excuse for a man mugs you for thousands, year on year! Thankfullly a position came along and I’ve never looked back! My new colleagues, at all levels, are interested in me, they trust me to make decisions, to not waste money. No cost cutting, no bad morale, everyone is working for the good of the company as the commission and bonus scheme is completly transparent! It’s such a different world to Mikey’s megalomania! So please if you can, leave, and don’t look back. Learn from this experience, but don’t look back! You deserve better because your that good, you just need to work for someone who appreciates you!

$26,000 in raises, employer appreciation, and a better quality of life in the two and a half years since I left HPE ES (now DXC). So glad the wool was lifted from my eyes!

Plenty of cash given to those who fixed the TNT Express outage last year - over £10k in some cases.

Having been WFR'd from DXC last year (thanks to Mikey) a recruiter recently contacted me offering a role at a mob called DXC. My thoughts lasted no more than 1 millisecond and it was an instant decline. Some of colleagues that remain at DXC are in shock how bad things have become in the last 12 months and they just want out.

Having DXC on a CV is not a positive nowadays.

Nice to see all your comments. I thought it was just me. And attitude at the top must have trickled down quite a way. Middle management treating employees like machines.

I couldn't agree more. Working at this company was like having a lead weight around your neck. You could work your @rse off and you get pretty much no recognition. There was little appreciation when you went above and beyond what was expected. You may have gotten a limp, token gesture email with some empty words as thanks. You certainly did not get any financial benefit. It beggars belief that the poisonous toad at the top can still expect employees to be positive and have a wish to drive this company forwards (although it is unlikely the old and out of touch c@nt gives a flying f@ck about that in all reality!) The morale in this place is the worst I have ever seen. I've worked for IBM, Digital, Compaq, HP and HPE. None of them perfect... far from it... but DXC has a different level of toxicity. It has hit new depths of cynicism towards it's skilled employees and that all stems from the old man in charge. I definitely agree... if you can get out then do it as soon as possible... let this abominable excuse of a company drown in its own sh@t. I'm so much happier and much better off financially since I left DXC.

I know what you mean on ulterior motive. DXC was a truly awful place to work and I tried to stay positive when I was there, but had to watch the fat man at the top kill of anything that even remotely looked like it was moving in the right direction.

It took me a month or two to adjust to real people again and proper business practices; I realised how out-of-step DXC had become. I met people with smiles and a genuine interest in helping again; receiving bonuses and pay rises again almost felt dirty having been deprived of them for so long. I guess Red must have felt the same way, still asking for permission to go to the bathroom, when he got parole from Shawshank.

"negative effect on your mental health. " Yes. Mental illness is catching.

Seconded, it's about 6 months since I left. Haven't regretted it for a second.

DXC is not only a sh*t company to work for; it has a negative effect on your mental health. I'm only just getting to the point where I'm not assuming everyone has an ulterior motive for everything they do.
