A lot of immature and ridiculous posts lately.
Any news about personal being cut? That's what I and many others are curious about.

Att is about to release services on demand. Pay for what you need, when you need it. I can’t see anyone competing with that.
Whoever wrote this, you don't have to look on this page. Stay on topic, people also want to vent. The world Doesn't revolve around you
I know that Accounts Payable is going to Jamaica. Is the rest of Accounting/Finance being shipped out as well?
Heard finance was going overseas as well.
SMB and ENT care, last day 10/22. Jobs sent to Guatemala and Jamaica
The problem is there is pressure from some VP or some VP underling not to upgrade these customers as whatever they upgrade to will have less of a MRC and lower margin... this hurts someone's numbers. To hell with the long run they won't be around to see the fruits of their incompetence... Judgement day on these services is coming. Mabell rules again as leader of the FCC
Time for the sales people to start cold calling and stop waiting for someone to call them. The sales people I know Play iPads Or go home for the majority of the day to come back at 3.
Carrier Wholesale are other carriers utilizing our network. That FCC ruling you talk about will not affect carrier, and really it will have the opposite effect as now we are not locked into a price we can charge more for our LEC services to other carriers. It may even open up new opportunities with the LEC charging outrageous amounts for transport services in there LEC were we have CLEC transport as we can bow compete on price. The overturning of the 96 Telco Act and the no more fixed price will hurt... Guess who? ENTERPRISE.. How many ENTERPRISE customers have a t1 that we provide that is really a LEC pair? ALOT... Bye bye margin, bye bye customers bye bye jobs. Even alot of your Essss Deeeee Wyyyaaaaan customers what is one uplink of their cpe? That's right jack hole a T1... A T1 that's not on our owned OSP a T1 that is currently at a fixed price and soon will not be...
How does that make sense? The FCC ruling will make carrier wholesale dip as price locks will not be set. I would expect a decline here starting in 2019 when it takes effect.
You can't get rid of Enterprise support easily. You can move cheap accounts to offshore support to improve the bottom line.. but, that has already been done.
If churn in this area increases, it will lower the demand for techs in this area... but, we aren't seeing that much churn... so...
Don't get comfortable. Enterprise BU is at most risk of layoffs right now unless you are carrier wholesale. They are trying to make more margins somewhere... Instead of addressing the real problem of network costs and redundancy, they would rather cut heads, which is equal to shooting self in foot.
Agreed.
They decided not to sell off the CLEC assets from EarthLink. That saves a bunch of jobs for now but not in the long term.
I guess we will wait and see what Q3 brings. As others have said we bought a few years by refinancing our debt. In the end it still doesn't fix the problem.
