Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

Stock continues its upward trend. Right moves being made

August 16, 2018

Little Rock

Windstream (WIN) continues its upwards trend in the stock market today. The stock is nearly double it’s recent low. Having growth in customer numbers in some divisions for the first time in over two years, in typically what is the weakest quarter, shows Windstream is making positive movements, and the future is looking brighter for the company. Employees morale seems to be improving according to sources. The company has a ways to go, but the worst of the storm seems to have passed. Windstream seems to be on a roll, and according to sources within the company, the best is yet to come.

Soooo, where's the dip$hit that was bragging about our stock now?

Oh that's right, I heard he's giving a speech at a Goldman conference. Someone please tell him to shut up before he bankrupts us before the weekend is over!

"Right moves being made"

Nope. Just plain luck - there wasn't 'suddenly' the right moves and the market responded - still same useless VP's/CEO running the ship, not knowing what to do, but taking credit for a small percentage up on stock increase. Can the stock return to levels it was two years ago? Not with these 'experts' running the show.

Still lots of debt with the company, and leadership needs to be outsourced so the employees can have a decent company to work for again.

I’m not a finance wizard but we’re definitely winning enough new revenue to outpace existing customer disconnects. Hopefully the big disconnects are over.

Even turds bob for awhile before finally sinking into the oblivion. Windstream financials are showing improvement - no matter how disgruntled and p-ss-d off you are. That being said - it is also true that Windstream stock remains a high risk investment... it just looks a little less risky with the current trend.

The expectations are - in the short term, the Aurelius lawsuit will likely be won by Windstream and Windstream will see another uptick in stock value (back up to $10+ bucks... close to pre-split).

If you can see further than that - you'd be on wallstreet and not reading my BS. I love how so many here claim to be finance wizards who can look at a few numbers and make long term predictions. I have no idea about finance - but, I read finance news and that is what I've read in several places where discussions are taking place.

Given that - I believe the next layoffs will be taking place when positions become no longer needed - EG - end of year integration plans with broadcom and earthlink.. Once integrated - jobs will be duplicated and one of em will be dumped.... I suspect some centers will be closing..

Once again. TT in his brilliant wis-dome told us in our town hall raises were not coming back. That you'd have to get a promotion. That that will not happen. (Not unless you know a VP who can get more funding for your BU. VPs only do that for their buddies and force other managers hire them. Last guru left because they wouldn't do that for him. VP buddies new guy is no where skilled to be an E3 and they make him an architect.)

The board members are his friends - I'm sure he sits on their boards too. Lookup WorldCom..

So far beyond dissengaged. Inching beyond disgruntled. I can't even afford to go see the doctors with our c-appy insurance. I think I can do more damage staying with the company and just showing them what they created. Just be a real company and I'll be an employee.

Management is required to “advise” the employees what the EE questions “really mean” and how to best answer the questions. How the questions are presented to them in the meetings are geared towards making the company look better to investors. The fact that employees still have not received a raise again this year and yet executives are still pocketing bonuses is ludacrious.

Execs will be getting their bonuses and raises soon while the vast majority have not see wages keep up with inflation for over 5 years!! OVER 5 YEARS !!! So depressing....are you hearing me Board of Directors??

When will you the announcement be made indicating no raises in 2019? Most of us simply want our wages to keep up with inflation. Yet, executives feel they are ENTITLED to large increases and bonuses and the rest of us are simply gunk stuck to the bottom of one's shoe. Perhaps now you will understand my look of despise and anger when we pass in the hallway!

Whomever is indicating "Employees morale seems to be improving according to sources." is flat wrong and is truly ignorant or purposely lying!

TT gets a 20% plus raise seemingly every year. Once the 2018 compensation for those already on top (Directors and above) is released / leaked Employee Morale will be catapulted to new highs.......well in a Parallel Universe I suppose!

A few days of positive stock gains are nothing to be happy about, but TT and his clueless executives will take a trip to France to celebrate.

Company is still on life-support, how far down is the stock price in the last year? Still a lot of internal bleeding, band-aids can only hold back the inevitable for so long....

Ship is still sinking....get out while you can....

This is too funny. Turning around. Just bobbing before they go under for the final time. WIN is a toxic environment save your health and happiness. Leave. TT is like a pig at a buffet. He is stuffing his pockets until he is shown the door. He can see it opening.
