Did not believe earlier, we are working day and night to deliver releases to customers…but heard it is true.It is going to be massive…many numbers in US and shutting shop in Bangalore.Seagate will go down in history as the first company to fail in Bangalore India. Because it operates from a manufacturing mindset does not know how to run development centers like Bangalore. Looks like a politically motivated game at the top.Can’t fathom why senior management does not get this. BIG wrong decision

Apparently very true. Aug end will mark the end of the Bangalore site & quite a few from Pune(likely!). Rest of the Pune could expand but not the EDS team... Trust me ur local management knows no sh*t whatsoever.

It should have been obvious at least a year ago when both sites' leaders were chosen to be from Pune and were representing Pune more than Bangalore. Someone gave the idea to management back in US that Pune makes more economic sense, and the day has come...

Is this true ? What numbers will lose their jobs ? I was always of the opinion that all work would go to eventually India and plants in America and Ireland would massively reduce the workforce.
