Thread regarding CenturyLink layoffs

Well well well... so it turns out Jeff Story ran the company into the ground to the point that the new CEO is only getting about a million a year and the stock is almost worthless.

To the kiddo who said centurylink is a joke….. actually, it’s the other way around bro. Level 3 had big money issues, all due to the head mo#^on Joffrey. But that doesn’t matter now does it? Why? Because he got fired. Shown the door. He’s outta here. It couldn’t have happened to a better person either.

“Centurylink is a joke” guy.......that’s the dumbest comment I’ve seen yet on here. At least legacy knew how to run the company & keep systems up & running. Unlike your greedy, fearless, a—hat dear leader.

Centurylink is a joke company that was run by mo–ns. That’s why they are cutting all the legacy employees out. They had to buy Level 3 or would have went under.

Level 3 people are running this company and are clueless on what is going on they are all bully’s to their customers. They do not know how to run a Local Exchange Carrier.

Glen Post took his money and ran. He must have not cared that so many Centurylink employees are getting cut.

I was let go this year, well I took my 28,000 VSPP and have never been happier. I was even asked last month to show the contractors how to do my old job... I remember laughing before saying no way in hell.

Just took lkthat training and we ll said we are all setup to be fired if we open our mouth about anything.

I got fired in the Minneapolis market after being informed of a code of conduct violation. Instead of a warning of some sort, they just fired me. I worked there 2 years and had never had any sort of disciplinary action taken against me. I feel they did this with the upcoming surplus reduction. Fire me and it's one less person they have to pay severance. They also said i don't get paid my unused vacation or personal time, 142 hours. And they're contesting my unemployment.

Getting laid off was the best thing that ever happened to me. I got out of Monroe, which is a sh--hole, and my new job pays way more plus a 10k bonus for relocation. Also people at the new company actually want to go to work. Working at a place with good morale is worth more than the increase in salary and bonus that I'm getting by far. I feel bad for all those left behind. Find a new job and get away from that terrible company.

They're getting rid of the workers so they can pay pennies on the dollar to overseas workers. It's all about money, not people. So sad to see what's happening. They're letting go of the knowledge and skills they already have.
