Thread regarding University of Phoenix layoffs

Now that the Qualifying Center is gone.

There are fewer and fewer potential students calling in but yet management expects each enrollment counselor to enroll 12 enrollments or more. Newsflash a$$holes our team of 10 enrollment reps had a total of 52 newly enrolled students for last month and chances are most won't stay. Leadership is seriously inept and capriciously holding on to old sales tactics instead of upgrading the online learning system and actually producing students qualified for a job. Now theres more layoffs in the next few weeks, again. Crap!

UOP was a sh--hole when I left Sales in 2005. I can't believe after all the bad press, lawsuits by employees and students, who actually thought they were going to a legitimate school, the lies, mismanagement and a million other despicable things, that dump is still operating. You all need to do yourselves a big favor and get out! The job market is good. Nobody needs to work in that hell!! Honestly, the best thing about that place is leaving!!

It's been 5 months since I was booted from the QC. At my new job we took QC reps and leaders. Not a bad gig. I am here to tell you there is life after the QC.....life after UOP.....life!

This is why I could never work in sales. The stress would give me ulcers by 30 and a heart attack by 40.

Our manager told us that you might work from home if you're near a RUNNING campus like within certain miles. But if you are in the outlying teachout locations you can kiss your job good bye. They are only going to need a couple dozen enrollment reps. If they dont have enough local reps they will outsource to temps near campuses. Once again they lied, shocking.

By now, you'd have to live under a rock not to be aware of UOP degrees' awful reputation. And it'll only get worse as the current students are even more deficient than the previous cohorts. Scrapping the barrel.
