Thread regarding Sears layoffs

You know what's sad?

Employees at other companies going through similar things as Sears can at least hope that by some miracle their leadership will be replaced and they'll get somebody who'll actually be able to turn the company around.

Not us, though. We are stuck with Eddie until the bitter end. We don't even get that little glimmer of hope.

The sad reality of working at Sears.

Sears has already been through the CEO turnover process to find a turnaround.

It's transparently obvious that Eddie is basically liquidating the company in slow motion, with all of the good properties going into his real estate trust. It's a flagrant violation of his fiduciary duties to the company.

Most of them were in good shape until recently. Kmart hasn't been in good shape since the late 90s, Sears has been in decline since the 70's.

Eddie doesn’t have a turnaround plan. It’s all a real estate play to fatten his wallet at the end
