Thread regarding Dream Center Education Holdings, LLC (DCEH) layoffs

4 options for students...

Last week, students of closing institutions were sent an email with for options including transferring to another Ai with 50% tuition.

Everyone of our students who have tried to transfer we're told that most their credits won't transfer to the closest institution.

Anyone else experiencing this?

BR, Dream Center, what are you doing for these kids?

Discharge requires the student to forfeit all credits earned. I would try to transfer to a non-DCEH institution first

We are all advising the loan discharge. It’s the presidents who aren’t.

Students that are enrolled when their school closes or within 120 days of the school closing are eligible to have all of their federal student loans canceled as long as they don't sign anything or accept a teach-out or transfer.

Wait, so the closed school discharge is an option for our students Enron though some Ais are staying open? All of their loans for Ai? Can you post more information about that? I would like to share it with my students. If this disgusting company isn’t sharing that option with then, I would at least like to.

A closed School discharge means all of their Federal loans would be forgiven. It means that they would not be strapped with the debt from an illegitimate College. Some students will still decide to transfer even with the knowledge of that option, but omitting that option altogether seems wrong to me

Does closed school discharge mean they get their money back? DCEH is so unethical to be doing this. Why isn't this getting more press? Who is hiding this? When I do a search, I get very little. Is it because Devos and Trump are letting this go?

There are more than four options. The schools are not mentioning closed School discharge. That is super unethical.

Seattle is regionally accredited but it is very expensive to live in the city. If you are in media arts and game arts- beware.. there are NO JOBS for entry level. Admissions will tell you there are, but don't believe them.

Haven't heard this yet from students but is your school and the school that's closest/open both regionally accredited? I'm curious as to how my school's credits (ACICS) is going to be accepted at the closest school which is regionally accredited. In the past they haven't been but unsure as to now.
