Students that are enrolled when their school closes or within 120 days of the school closing are eligible to have all of their federal student loans canceled as long as they don't sign anything or accept a teach-out or transfer

Students who are close to graduating are finishing. They have to be 1 to 2 quarters away from completing their degree. The chair is meeting with every student individually and we have been asked to help mentor them with the options. No one is hiding anything at our campus, what would the point of that be? We want the best for our students and are only sticking around to provide support. I do not expect anything from DCEH at this point. Severance, really...LOL. It has been smoke and mirrors with DCEH from the start.

We are fully accredited, not sure what campuses are not and how they survived without Title IV funding.

So far all my students have shown up for Monday classes. I expect the same rest of the week. After this quarter it will taper off and probably only be grads. I cleaned out my office last week and started giving back old student projects and artwork. Our campus will close by end of Winter quarter for sure.. It looks like many of the students will transfer to other campuses, I am hearing mostly Atlanta and Miami. That 50% off the remainder of their degree is a big incentive for students halfway or more in their programs. I would expect beginning students to move on.

Sad end to what was once an amazing place to work and create.

Many Ai students are first generation college students or don’t have the grades or SAT/ACT scores to go to other schools. Makes sense that many would not understand the importance of accreditation.

Teach them quickly while they can still get a refund.

@dlg I agree. There should at least be a meeting to make sure each student understands how this affects them and what their options are. Informing the students should be a priority for DCEH

Im telling all students who have less than 2 quarters to go to transfer to another school. I'm not telling them to go to another Ai school because we all know they may go through this again in 6-12 months.

Students are showing up... many are withdrawing thank you Jesus! However there are a lot that hasn’t and that’s concerning. The program chairs are not saying anything about accreditation and that’s concerning. I’m letting all students know that I talk to that there credits from winter term on mean nothing and may not transfer. Some students I feel don’t understand accreditation and they should have that explained.
