Our new leader is making the line changes that the hockey player was afraid to do. The RBU and MCBU will merge into one BU. Many more Permian assets will be sold because their NPV is worth more on the market than sitting neglected as we focus on Eaglefart. The writing is on the wall as two Permian supervisors were already moving out and now a third is moving back to Eaglefart. Announcement to come tomorrow about dropping the rigs we have in Permian and adding them in Eaglefart, brought on in part by the oil price differentials and in part by a small working interest owner forcing decisions to drill the worst part of our Eaglefart acreage.

The lies coming from the EF management simply do not surprise me any more. Hopefully the new L48 president will stop the nonsense and bring some sense of normalcy back to the L48.
Eaglefart management used the excuse that a small working interest owner in our worst Eaglefart area was forcing them to drill so that they could take money away from MCBU. Now that the decision has been made on the money, it comes out that they came to their senses and arent letting them push us around and will spend the money on the best Eaglefart acreage instead. What made them realize that this is the better plan? Better question, why didn't they come up with it from the get go? Did they think lying about the urgency of drilling would force the decision in their favor?
Based on this external job posting it does look like the Rockies and Mid-Con BUs are merging. But why are we hiring for a group that just lost a rig?

Wow this company has become so toxic. Everyone is bickering about someone or something constantly. This is what is left after constant threat and multiple rounds of layoffs. It is really sad.
They need lots of cutting in Alaska, so much incompetence up there. Worthless millennials and an employment office for foreigners. Come on can't find American engineers or managers have to pay some laid off Argentinian who couldn't get a job in his own country. Yea right COP looking out for America. BS.
preach on, OP. some fairly obvious writing has appeared on the wall since the hockey player took up watching the Cup full-time (with 2 weeks notice of said change...that wasn't abrupt at all, eh?). many shifts away from Permian have already been announced, no doubt more to come. to answer -2bdh's question: nobody above wellhead+2 would be left, but hey...we don't deal in reality in this company. we continue to imagine that those above us are actually worth what they're being paid (all the way up to and including uncle ryan), even though anybody capable of drawing breath knows those folk don't have a damn thing to do with daily business. drilling's ramping down, development's ramping down, JV team is in charge of MCBU (on an interim basis, snark snark), because hipots need something to do, too! <3
"don't pay attention to the obvious, drones".
fkng idiots think the entire workforce is comprised of fkng idiots...
OP was right about the rig move from Permian to Eagle Ford, hopefully now we can see some org changes and get rid of the incompetence. Wait, who would be left then?
Good, maybe our new L48 leader will also make much needed management changes within the GCBU as well.
What yare you talking about?
