@2ccf - BK got promoted to his level of incompetence in 2012 as COO, and less than year and a half later got another opportunity to fail when he got the CEO spot. BoD has been protecting him for a long time, ever since AB became vice-chairman and then chairman. These 2 are running the mafia and backstabbing any potential challengers: PSO, RJ, DB, SS, etc. That's all Intel is now, cliques, mafias and backstabbing those who are not "in". Meritocracy started its long decline around 2011-2012 when these 2 POS gained power and was completely gone less than 5 years later by 2016.

-2hvo is exactly correct in his description of BK, and this is the way he lived his entire life. Complete phony. Awarded BS in Chemistry at SJSU. One can reason that he must have enjoyed the lab and not honing people skills. Does not even attend graduate school. Back in '80s the criteria for fast tracking in a corporation is to at least first earn pHD. Joins Intel and quickly reroutes his career track into something he is utterly skillless in, management. So one could assume he must've had a godfather, someone pulling him up. It has been rumored that his employees hated working for him because he had zero people skills, just expletive after expletive. His whole management career was invested in manufacturing. So how with only a manufacturing background could he ever have the requirements needed to fill the CEO position? This requires one who has many more skills like marketing, product development across all areas of the company, have developed rapport with CEOs from other companies, expert in business and finance, expert in team organization, understand fundamentals of all products, international experience, and these are just the tip of the iceberg. Did the BoD give him a pass to learn on the job?!?;

@2met - Just another "shiny object" and PR stunt to distract from the real issues facing the company. That has been the new normal under the clown BK. Distract, obfuscate, lie if necessary using PR, fake news, number fudging, stock manipulation, etc. BK is a phony, and taking Intel straight to the cliff.

What happened to that fancy several-angle-stop-motion camera work they demoed over the past year? Not seen once in the NBA Playoffs.
