Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

DXC number of employees

I think the number I see every (170k employees) is too outdated, maybe since the merge (April 2017)

Does anyone have the good number here?

Maybe the 170,000 represents the remaining workforce in India after everyone else gets the flick.

The question is where did the OP get the 170,000 number from. From a post below....

From the DXC website....

"The company was formed on April 1, 2017, by the merger of CSC and the Enterprise Services business of Hewlett Packard Enterprise. DXC Technology has successfully guided the world’s largest enterprises and government agencies through successful change cycles. With some 137,000 employees worldwide, the company’s deep experience gives it a clear and confident vision to help clients navigate the future."

DXC themselves are claiming 137,000 employees so why are we taking the 170,000 number as current. It is not. DXC themselves tell you it is not.

So yes, the have reduced headcount by about 33,000 employees and based on the multiple presentations they have about 12-15,000 to go by 2020.

Mikey is doing exactly what he said he was going to do.

I'm sure the 170k does not include contractors. however it's weird that this number (170K) didn't get updated ever since April 2017, although thousands have been fired.

No of course it doesn't include contractors or any of the other myriad of ways they have pushed staff off of the books (AT&T, FDS and others).

The biggest drop from the immediate merger figure of ~180,000 employees though will have been USPS.

Only 37,000 souls to be sacrificed now to slake the desires of the Almighty Mikey now. What's that now, 1 in 4 jobs to go? Wonder what sort of spread sheet gymnastics will be needed to achieve that?
