Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

WFR's will be Weekly for the next few weeks.

Talking to a friend who seemed a little upset. It seems he was being asked to prep for more WFRs and they would be weekly. From the numbers we are looking at a lost of about 10% of staff over the next two months or so.

Based on the last two WFRs it appears no one is safe. They let some good performers go. Made no sense with some lesser performers who could have been in the cross-hairs.

Talking US here...

ITO is full of dunderheads and managers are shielding the poor performers whilst getting rid of experienced workers. No great loss.

We lost 3 more in my account. They were on ITO side of the house. There are only about 5 left I think on that account now

New DXC policy is to be published to try and make Workforce Reductions fun to improve the mood.

At the start of the month, every employee will receive an emailed ticket of 4 lines of 5 numbers; each number in a cell between 0-49. Each morning, DXC publish a new number on its portal. If that number corresponds with any cell on your 4x5 grid, then you cross it off. If on the publication of Friday's number you have a full line (on any row) of crossed out numbers, then congratulations - you're riffed!

If however, you get to Friday and have not completed a line, then your ticket (and yourself) are carried forward another week. However, under DXC policy terms, you will not be allowed to erase numbers already called in previous weeks.

The game ends when a line of numbers is called and no-one is a winner.

Getting rid of good performers makes sense - they are expensive resources but the lesser performers become cannon fodder for future WFR rounds.
