How does it work? Do I really get paid hourly the last few weeks do those on commission or commission plus base?

The people who worked commission at my store were put onto hourly in the last weeks, yes. The last holdout was the woman who sold the mattresses, but even her last week turned into hourly pay, and ONLY hourly.
If you are a commission associate you will be put on benefit rate when your manager decides it's time. Generally the last 2 to 4 weeks. Hourly associates stay hourly.
