IBM is a sinking ship and Ginni is just accelerating that process. IBM would turn into another Accenture or Infosys where no talented guy would want to join.... I've seen a few talented Engineers who even rejected even the interview proposals from Accenture, CTS, TCS, TechM, Wipro and the likes.
Go west young man! Or if you are already west then, Head East! lol
Either way, just get out of the hellhole they call IBM.
I was laid off in March, 90 days. Took me few weeks and several interviews, but I got 6 job offers. I now make 20% more than at IBM, have better working environment, better benefits, and have a bonus. Plus, unlike IBM, I get my 401k match every month.
It worked out for me, but there are others who are not that lucky.
I am still pissed at IBM for being discriminated and for being screwed out of my 6 months severance and 401k match.
All the so called "proud to be an IBMer" types should read that comment before posting on W3.
