when i was a manager we were monitored by the HR "parity police". Didn't promote enough URMS? that's a problem. We must have parity. Didn't give enough money to women versus men ,.... uh oh. WE need parity!!
The only place "parity" doesn't exist seems to be in our layoff policy. I ask Intel HR, did you ever raise a hand to say that Intel's policies impact older employees more than younger- where is the parity in that??
