Thread regarding Sears layoffs

this is torture!

where's the bloody list??? they know full well which stores are closing, why are they torturing us by intentionally prolonging the anticipation?

we are stressed enough as it is, the last thing we need is something like this. this is absolutely cruel and unnecessary.

@1kbe-- I dont rely on SHC to pay my bills, this job is just for fun money to travel. My point is that many people do rely on SHC to pay bills and survive but too many of them either don't listen, aren't paying attention or have bought and drank the kool-aid that SHC is selling.

I try to warn people I work with that their job is not safe, that SHC will not and cannot survive, but my warnings go to deaf ears and stores keep closing, people keep losing their jobs and stress levels keep rising. All the while other retailers and businesses are looking for workers and willing to pay more than SHC does. And what I am afraid of is that when your store or my store does close then the worker market will already be filled to capacity and these people will be hard set on finding another job. Good luck to all, get out while you can

@TrnnSiD-1lsm This why is this torture to you honestly? Its going to get worse if you stay in the company because sooner or later they are closing. When Sears is done its going to very hard for some to actually find a job, so you should be searching for one (if you rely on Sears).

Torture is working for Sears/Kmart. They will close your store so why not go get another job? Most, if no all other businesses pay more than SHC. Walmart just started helping with college for its workers and pays above minumum wage to start with raises and bonuses. Or stay at SHC and live in fear and uncertainty.

You call it torture, but isn't it clear to you all by now that ALL Sears and Kmarts are closing? Come on, folks. I know it's tough, but it's so obvious. The prolonged anticipation has been around for...years. It's time to throw in the towel. Stop destroying yourselves, accept the inevitable, figure out how to move on with your lives. Not trying to be cruel, but I left a couple of years back and couldn't be happier. You can do it!
