Any details. I heard this happened today. Typical Pearson every year in the summer they reorg create new divisions to save some people and just get rid of the ones they hate. I’m with the original poster and have my popcorn ready...and it’s not mean because I’ve been where you are. Layed off for not making goal one year even though I made it into the 90s. Management there is THE WORST.
While I care about people and their livelihood, I really hope P&C’s former flamingo pirate RM, C.A., and her GM, B.S. After all the hell they have put so many through, they deserve it. People shouldn’t have to sue Pearson before you figure out that C.A. and B.S. are mean, hateful, arrogant people who lie and treat people like sh-t.
Well they actually got rid of the GM level and consolidated RMs. About time.
I didn’t make the offending post, but if your personal situation is such that you need job security, you shouldn’t be working at Pearson. Can you think of another profitable company that has annual layoffs?
Ummmm they announced MONTHS ago that 3000+ people were getting laid off. If you didn't look for a new job, then that is on you. Also, I said "I've got my popcorn" not "I have my popcorn".

People with families, and possibly ill children or family members or financial issues. You are insensitive prick. And the rest of you gossiping...go do something positive with yourself. Mandatory meeting ? I was told it will happen between Tuesday and Wednesday. Mostly field rep in HSSL . I believe that division will be merged but no one knows who they are firing or keeping... SAD

Any word on what groups, reps, etc are getting the hammer? Awful news.
If it’s anything like our other layoffs, management/leadership won’t be impacted. Pretty soon, every rep will have their own personal management team.
Any idea as to when this will happen next week? I heard going from 3 sales divisions to 2.
