@TrZVfK8-9xre Thanks for the intel their man its going to be another nasty massacre as it seems so sad how many cuts they have its just painful honestly seeing all this happen. This is probably the last you can cut, because with so much cutting you basically have no team to run the other part of the company.

I have heard from 2 reliable sources that up to 250 corporate folks to be let go in June. Should be happening soon. In I.T. I heard that each director has to choose 3 people for release and present to HR. I know, drain the swamp. Look, there should be no tears, anyone still working for Sears should absolutely expect this. If it happens, just put emotion on the side, get your resume together and look for another job. A friend of mine said there are a lot of job openings at other companies, at least in I.T. with better pay and benefits. A lot of jobs in downtown Chicago.

SYW is the most bloated team at SHC but they keep hiring instead of cutting so I doubt they will be hit too much. SYW is going to save SHC after all.

If stores closed expect yourself to see Hoffman's laysoffs as well.

At the rate in which people are leaving Hoffman lately, they might not have to bother with layoffs. We lost two within a week. More work for SHI.

The WARN act is filed when they announce the layoffs to the affected people. The first 60 days of your severance runs along with the 60 days of WARN.

The WARN act says you must be give 60 days notice. They give you the notice. You are still paid for those 60 days as required by law. You just don't have to work those 60 days. Nothing says you have to be given 60 days before your last day in the office.

Even if they stopped giving Severance, if they reach the threshold for WARN, they have to file and pay you. But you don't get to stay those 60 days.

So don't think you need to watch for a filing then have 60 days before you are called in a conference room with HR... But the arrival of all the moving boxes a day or two prior is usually a good sign that the games' afoot...

With less stores come less support staff so I would imagine it’s inevitable. Mid summer clearout in June is what they have done the past few years at hq

With 100 freshly closing stores, rest assured there WILL be layoffs in Hoffman.
