Kmart doing better than Sears AGAIN

Kmart posts 9.5% decline and Sears posts a 13.4 % decline in comparable store sales. True every Q.

Walk to the store? Now that's funny.

I guess when you don't advertise or spend any money to update stores that haven't been touched since 1995 people don't shop there as much! Imagine that.

A loss is still a loss and 9.5% is still pretty high.

Doing better? That's like saying the guy with 2 gunshots to the head is doing better than the guy with 3.

The only problem with your argument is that the average Sears store does double the sales of the average K-Mart store, and K-Mart has several outliers (Guam, Puerto Rico) which make their average numbers higher than they would be otherwise. K-Mart is a sick dog and needs to be shot and put out of its misery.

Kmart is not doing better , its loss of sales is slower, that is all. The reason Kmart sales do not fall faster is because a portion of their sales base walks to the store , lacking transportation. If they had transportation people would shop elsewhere.
