Still waiting on the facts, Porto Potty manager?

For those of you who didn't learn any economics:

The Law of Supply and Demand.

"The law of supply and demand is a theory that explains the interaction between the supply of a resource and the demand for that resource. The theory defines the effect that the availability of a particular product and the desire (or demand) for that product has on its price. Generally, low supply and high demand increase price. In contrast, the greater the supply and the lower the demand, the price tends to fall."

This means that as H1-Bs are added to the economy, there is an increase in the supply and has the overall effect of depressing the price paid for that skill set.

@1xrm Why should I post facts if you have none? All you have is illogical fearmongering.

I am a hiring manager, so I know how much an H1-B earns and how much an H1-B visa costs. I know these things. What do you know, @1xrm? You know nothing. Yet you „opine“ on this board, idiot. The visa alone is already so expensive that it is a heavy burden on my hiring budget. Call Fragomen and ask them what they charge for their visa services before you „opine“ on this board again, idiot. Call them. Ask. Then you have your facts. Those charges are paid from my hiring budget. Let‘s add relocation costs to that, and anyone with at least basic math skills (that does not include you, idiot) will realize that H1-Bs are freakishly expensive. And no, visa costs are not one-time costs. A visa needs to be maintained. That involves more Fragomen charges and travel costs.

And H1-Bs at Intel don‘t earn less than Americans with the same skill set. Not in my team, not in other teams. Heck, when we hire an H1-B, HR is very careful to ensure that their salary matches the salary structure of the team.

What exactly do you think how all those H1-Bs manage to afford houses in good neighborhoods? Think about that sometime before you „opine“ on the subject again. I know, idiot, thinking is painful for you, but it is such a useful thing to do.

@1rry- you are an ignorant fool thinking it has nothing to do with cheap labor. Post some facts next time you opine on this board.

I love how people actually believe that H1-Bs are cheaper than local employees. Just shows how easy it is to manipulate people into believing complete b---s--- against all logic and obvious facts.
