Watson Health went from 7000 employees to less than 4000 in the last 5 days. All in the Provider business and WH Cloud GONE. The Simpler Provider team will be next month.They ruin peoples life but the old timers from the PWC and Debra's crew from Philphs stay collecting over a 1 M a year.
Time for IBM to bring in a Strategy Consulting Group to reorganize WH and GBS Providers!
Rumors has it every month there will be more RA. GBS was hit in April.

With such a massive layoff, I would expect that IBM would sell the business else be left open to lots of lawsuits by clients as there, very literally, won't be enough people to take care of existing paying clients. If they simply drop Watson Health then I aside from retaliation from clients for contract breach none of them would ever trust IBM again.
So they dumped the Watson Health Cloud?
“bring in a Strategy Consulting Group”... IBM already hired one... Bain, it is that group that has advised IBM to get rid of any businesses (and its people) that do not make money. If you work for IBM you have to ask yourself a simple question: Is the group I am in profitable? If not it is time to update your resume and look for employment somewhere else because the only guarantee you have is that IBM will eliminate you.
