Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Raises Anyone???

Is anyone getting a raise, what is the word on this, bonuses? Any rewards for the employees??

Just saw this article and believe this has been the case for quite some time.

"Learn from the women... come on time and go on time.. not a single minute of benefit to the company."

OMG, Seriously?!?! What a misogynistic statement, and an insult to every woman who has worked hard to gain whatever career success they have attained. Just sad....

The most effective raise is to swallow 2 blue pills (aka Viagra) and enjoy the results.

You should deliver what you are paid for, less pay .. less work.

Learn from the women... come on time and go on time.. not a single minute of benefit to the company.

No additional work load, no company headache after work.. whatever the problem may be.

The managers are getting the raises or bonuses each year, none for the employees that make the results for the customer. The managers are keeping quiet because of the fury it will cause among the employees and because the managers are scared sh---less on keeping their jobs. They keep their jobs by RIF-ing the employees where it improves the department bottom line and then either dump the work load on the existing state side employees or offshore the work. I was RIF'd in 2017 and the mangers that I thought were my friends only called me to tell I was RIF'd after being out on sick leave. None of them bothered to call & check afterwards!

I received a raise - by being WFR'd and going contracting outside DXC. A 40% raise for doing less hours and having less stress to deal with.

In my managers calendar (yes he's stupid enough to have it openly shared) a few months ago there was a meeting about giving people increases - but only for those with key skills that needed to be retained. I heard nothing more so not sure who got this.

There are no blanket or automatic raises in DXC. Its exactly the same as CSC was.

You've got to score and 1 on your appraisal (the numbers of 1's being tightly controlled - you can perform to a 1 but will get knocked back to keep the numbers down), then it has to go up the management chain all the way to Mikey who will personally sign it off.

Guess how many people will get it...

As for the rest, the lack of pay increases is both about controlling costs plus encouraging you to leave of your own accord (without DXC paying your severance). After you leave they either don't replace you or replace you with a cheaper hire.

Years ago the CSC board (pretty much the DXC board) decided that money doesn't motivate employees. It motivates them of course, with multi million dollar bonuses to be played for.

Is this different elsewhere? Probably not in any established company that needs to "transform" the workforce with digital. Its a race to the bottom.

Some have received pay rises BUT you needed to be in the right part of the business AND be someone they wanted to retain.
