As a NXP employee, interested to know the RSUs and bonus one can expect for a level similar to Staff.

All - if you are making less than 125k base as a staff or equivalent, then you are getting played bigly.
@znw/gcs: i was promoted to staff in 2014 and my new base at that time became $131k.
@4znw How long have you been in title? You're over 90% market rate at that salary so if less than 2-3 years, you're doing fine. You can ask your line manager what your market rate is if you're curious.
People are throwing numbers around here without understanding the review process. Stock and bonus pools vary greatly across the company. Your rating will of course have an effect but so will the size of the bonus pool for your org.
My base is $122k in austin as staff in qualcomm
That is not good??
Austin design center of NXP
What is ATX?
@xkv if you are a qualcomm employee with a title of staff engineer and getting a base of $110-120k in ATX, then you are getting ROYALLY screwed. I made more base as a senior engineer 10 years ago.
@2csg That's 80k euros or dollars?. NXP staff level would be Principal and the base should be about 110-20K in ATX.
For staff N-employee, base pay is around 80k. so, it can only get better
@1kxi the numbers seem low because the useless QC dirs and PEs take away most of the rsu / bonus budget.
Good luck NXP folks, it all goes backwards once these clowns buy you out
The RSUs and Bonus seems to be low compared to the peers in the industry(Apple, Broadcom, nvidia etc). RSUs of 35-40k and bonus of 15-20k is what the top ten percentile in the industry pays.
Looks like QCOM has clearly cut down on the employee RSUs and bonus. A clear indication of a company in decline.
but less than half the revenue.
Not if you discount the licensing revenue - that is falling like a stone.
NXP has a diverse and wide ranging customer base who pay. Healthy outlook.
Q much less so. Bleak outlook.
@wpa - NXP has same number of employees as qcom (~30k) but less than half the revenue. Something has to give... me thinks half of NXP employees.
Why N staff employee being laid off? NXP has outsourced almost everything
Mid level staff engineer has a base around 140k, cash bonus around $9k and RSU around $20k. That is with a rating of 5.
Most likely as an nxp employee, though, you will be laid off.
Thanks for the inputs. The BL line I work has more than 1mil$ revenue per employee. The work culture is better considering that I am at an European. The work culture is mostly derived from its MOTOROLA-FSL roots. I am happy to be here working on key challenges automotive projects.
12k bonus, 25k rsu
oh really? that much! my manager must have screwed me last year. glad he has been kicked out already.
you can expect RSUs that would equal about $20k if you are above average performer. Bonus would be about the same.
you should also expect NXP to go fabless after the merger.
OP : dont worry about RSUs etc; you should be bracing for the Qchaos of disfunction that will descend upon you. Endless agendaless meetings. Rounds and rounds of pointless 'initiatives'. And keyworded to death emails. Oh, and the powerpoints. Lots of powerpoints. With no conclusions. With muddled, confused and directionless twitter.
Expect less than currently. Savings gotta come from somewhere and they sure aint coming from the execs pockets.
Before we can answer the question what can you tell us about NXP?
I good place to start would be why you need 30,000+ people for less than $10B revenue. Where are the inefficiencies?
Don't expect any more than what you're already getting. Where do you think $500M in synergies will come from?
