Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

BK needs to be laid off

"this is the way a meritocracy works. Expect that in the future we'll probably do similar types of things."

Mobileye is failure

So is TMG

BK is a no talent, total buffoon who needs to pick up his marbles and go home. BS in chemistry belongs in a lab, not running a company. Intel screwed itself by promoting this idiot.

If BK had spun off TMG instead of 12,000 good employees in 2016 INTC would be triple what it is now... Just because INTC is up does not mean Intel is expertly managed and optimized... Regarding the 2016 headcount reductions, I understand some % of employees need to be released but I believe the old Bob Baker strategy of simply reducing HC by 5% each year is much more effective and less disruptive versus what happened in 2016.

Intel is meritocracy! Salary is too low compared to rest of the industry.

Stock value isn't measure of company's worth finance 101. Wait for year 2020 and 2025. When intel will get destroyed. I am waiting for china to dominate the market.

Intel doesn't have a plan. Nervana acquisition is a joke and the biggest joke is Mobileye. The founders are busy starting other statups. Paid 15 billion for non working tech. 9 million car is nothing ! its just a drop compared to 15 billion which was invested.

How is Intel a failure? Mobileye signed for 8 million cars! Intc at 55+. How are these failure?

""this is the way a meritocracy works."

LOL but it's obvious now that Intel isn't a meritocracy!

SO BK WILL STAY!

TMG and the bitter MIT ‘business class’ gripe is a classic case of mushrooms, keep em in the dark and feed them shaight. Outside TMG I see gigs at Ritz Carltons & endless booze that makes MIT look like a bunch of paupers... TMG drones are monitored on their office supply budgets. now that we are all treated like contractors, thankfully i snag the five star junkets vs surrounded by a bunch of bitter (and rightfully so) TMG engineers that gripe about their toxic environment but remain martyrs, wont find anything better and will be there until finally pushed out.

Some hater whining about pennies spent my manufacturing automation while billions spent on bad M&As. Shows just why Intel is failing and rotting within

Stock is up, really high! Market loves Intel. What's there not to like? Intel staff gets to travel international and spend Intel's money on biz class, 5 star hotels, great dinners, lots of drinking and partying during international meetings. Seriously, what's there not to like. Don't believe, just check how many MIT staff have travelled multiple trips this year alone. That's just one dept only.

BK only cares about enriching himself. The company can take care of itself. Intel is like a cork floating on an economic ocean and it's stock value responds to outside factors that affect the market such as deregulation and tax reform. BK has done nothing to enhance shareholder value, only to keep it relatively suppressed. Imagine where the stock would be if he had spun off that money pit, TMG, by now and they had sent their chip designs to foundry. Lots of cost savings could be had. Yes, he should be fired because he has missed every opportunity imaginable and pursued poor decisions on new technologies.

Must be Stockholm syndrome.

You know what's really "needed"? The need to stop treating people like cogs and paying "industry average" which is complete BS... They're lying
