Calitnia recently reduced pensions 40%, Kansa 58%.
its smart business to lay off people with eligible pension benefits now, for their sake and hire new techs with self funded pensions. It is better for the compsny and better for the new techs.
It provides more for us while cutting 6.2 million in benefit costs.
If the company does nothing, it will hurt more people.
Smart people are making smart decisions. It may hurt a few, but it will help more.
